Cache containing the log book
Durante un vacanza a Firenze a 2010 ho cominciato un passatempo nuovo e ho scoperto un metodo nuovo trovare le zone interessante della città alla stesso tempo. Ho scoperto Geocaching.
During a holiday in Florence in 2010 I began a new hobby and found a new way of seeing interesting parts of the city at the same time. I discovered Geocaching.
Geocaching è una caccia al tesoro gioco che usa GPS per trovare i recipienti piccole che altri giocatori hanno nascosto. è le storie interessante che l’altri giocatore raccontano del nascondigli che sono divertente. Firenze ha tanti posti nascosto interessante che i touristi vedono mai.
Geocaching is treasuring hunting using GPS to find small containers placed by other players. The real treasure isn’t the trinkets left in the container. It is the interesting stories that the players tell about the hiding places that they chose. Florence has dozens of interesting, hidden places that the usual tourist never sees.
A mio scoperta primo io avevo imparato che Mozart visitò a Firenze con suo padre quando ebbe quattordici anni a suonare per Pietro Leopolda d’Asburgo-Lorena – Granduca di Toscana. La caccia porta il geocacher a un edificio che una volta fu stato l’albergo dove il padre e il figlio rimasero durante il loro soggiorno a la citta. Lo é vicino una trattoria piccola popolare con la gente del posto.
At my first find I learned that Mozart came to Florence with his father when he was 14 to perform for the Grand Duke Leopold I of Lorraine. The hunt takes the geocacher to a building which was once the hotel where father and son stayed during their visit to the city. It also takes you to a tiny restaurant packed with locals.
Poco più lontano dalla citta, il geocacher è condotto al monumento a Bernado Buontalenti. Lui fu un architetto, scultore e ingegnere del Rinascimento, ma anche il inventore del metodo per fare gelato. Il parco dov’è il monumento è posto gradevole per camminare e per piacere il giorno. Può trovare uno o due nascondigli più anche.
A little further from the usual hustle bustle of the tourist trail, the geocacher is led to monument to Bernado Buontalenti who was not only a Renaissance architect, sculpture and engineer but also credited with the invention of the process to make gelato. The park where the monument is found is a pleasant place to stroll and enjoy the day. There a couple of other caches nearby to add to the found list, too.
Anche i Angeli del Fango sono ricordato con un nascondiglio. Questo qui mi ha eluso ogni anno sono rimasta a Firenze. Ogni dicembre faccio un altra pellegrinaggio al parco per fare un altra tentativo.
The Mud Angels from my previous post are also commemorated with a cache. This one has eluded me every year since I started spending my holidays in Florence. So every December I make another pilgrimage to the park near the monument to have another try.
